Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Commitments

BeachParked is built to be privacy-first. We collect the least we can to run the service, and we make money from parking bookings — never from your data. Specifically, we promise:

We will never sell or rent your personal information. We will never share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not run third-party ads. We do not use advertising pixels, marketing trackers, or cross-site tracking of any kind. We use only the strictly necessary cookies/storage needed to keep you logged in. And we honor browser opt-out signals like Global Privacy Control (GPC).

The rest of this policy explains, plainly, what we do collect, why, and the few service providers that help us operate.

1. Information We Collect

We practice data minimization — we ask only for what a parking marketplace actually needs.

Account information

Your name and email address, and a password (managed through our identity provider). You must be at least 18 to have an account.

Host information

If you list a space, your parking address and the details you choose to add to the listing, and the payout details our payment processor needs to pay you.

Booking information

If you book a space, your vehicle details (such as make, model, color, and license plate) so the host can identify your car, plus your booking dates and history.

Payment information

Payments are handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number or security code — only a tokenized reference and the last four digits for display.

Optional location (check-in)

Only if you grant permission, we use your device location at check-in to confirm you are at the space. You can deny or revoke this in your device settings at any time; the rest of the service still works.

Support messages

If you contact support (including our chat assistant), we keep your messages so we can help you and follow up.

Limited technical logs

Our hosting infrastructure keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP address and request time) that are necessary to operate the service securely and prevent abuse. We do not use these to build advertising or marketing profiles.

2. What We Do Not Do

To be unambiguous: we do not sell or rent your personal information; we do not share it for targeted or cross-context advertising; we do not run third-party advertising; we do not embed advertising or social-media tracking pixels; we do not use analytics, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies; and we do not provide your personal information to data brokers. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it — before making the change.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only to:

Provide and operate the service; create and secure your account; process bookings, payouts, and refunds; send transactional messages you need (booking confirmations, check-in instructions, receipts, and service notices); share the limited details hosts and guests need to complete a booking; provide customer support; keep the platform safe and prevent fraud; and comply with our legal and tax obligations. We do not use your information for advertising or to make legally significant decisions about you by automated means.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use only strictly necessary storage — for example, keeping you signed in and remembering that you have entered the site. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any cross-site tracking technology. Because we do not track you across the web, there is no behavioral profile to opt out of; we also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar browser opt-out signals.

5. How We Share Information

We share information only in these limited cases:

Between hosts and guests. When a booking is confirmed, the host receives the guest's name and vehicle details, and the guest receives the host's name and the parking address — only what is needed to complete the parking.

Service providers we rely on. A small set of vendors process data on our behalf, under contracts that prohibit using it for their own purposes: a payment processor (payments and payouts), a cloud infrastructure and identity provider (secure hosting and login), an email delivery provider (transactional email), an AI provider that assists customer support, and a mapping provider (which receives your IP address when a map loads in order to deliver map images). None of these providers may sell your data or use it to advertise to you. We will provide our current list of these service providers on request at hello@beachparked.com.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or BeachParked.

Business transfers. If BeachParked is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction; we will require the recipient to honor this policy or notify you of any material change.

6. AI-Assisted Support

Our customer support may be assisted by a third-party AI provider. When you message support, your messages are processed only to understand and answer your request. They are not used to show you ads and are not used to train third-party AI models. You can always ask to be helped by a person instead.

7. Data Security

We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to limit what we hold and to protect what we do.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal reasons. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we must retain it by law — for example, booking and payment records kept for up to 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, receive a copy of it, or limit certain uses — and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Depending on your state or country (for example, under California's CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws), you may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Because we do not sell or share your information and do not run targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of — but we still honor GPC and similar signals.

To exercise any right, email us at hello@beachparked.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires.

10. Children's Privacy

BeachParked is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change — especially anything that would expand how we collect, use, or share your information — we will post the updated policy, update the date above, and provide notice. We will not start using your information in a materially different way without first updating this policy and obtaining consent where the law requires it.
